This beautiful country house is set in the Charentaise countryside, close to Longeveau. It has been finished to the highest standards and delivers everything you could need for a truly relaxing and memorable holiday.

The house has recently been renovated, offering a wonderful blend of contemporary design and authentic period features.

On entering the property past the Pigeonier tower, pass though into the lounge, complete with English TV, DVD and an iPod dock. Further on, the second lounge and dining room lead into a beautiful kitchen, with granite worktop and plenty of space for preparing you holiday banquets! The house is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and all of the utensils you will need for your holiday.

Upstairs, all of the bedrooms are spacious and light, with exposed stone walls throughout. There are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite. The third room is perfect for children, with 3 x single beds. A large family bathroom with separate shower and bath, plus an office area (with wifi) complete the upstairs.

The garden terrace stretches the length of the house, stepping down to a small garden adjoining the heated pool. An outside dining area and plenty of sun loungers will ensure you make the most of the long summer days. And thoughtful illumination of the terrace and pool will ensure you can enjoy it well into the night! Two larger garden areas offer plenty of space to play in (with fencing to stop the little ones escaping!)

Chez Grelon is located near the hamlet of Le Cuq, 2.5kms walk from Longeveau. This route is only recommended by car if you have a 4x4. Or a tractor! For those who already know Longeveau… go though the hamlet, and take the track down to the stream and the tumbled down old house, then up the other side, towards St. Severin. Alternatively, you can take the proper road, which is about 5kms

• 4x4 route (2.5km), approx. 5 minutes.

• Cycling adults (bikes available to hire), approx. 10 minutes

• Cycling with kids (bikes available to hire), approx. 25 minutes

• Walking adults, approx. 25 minutes

• Walking with kids, approx. 45 minutes

Don’t forget a torch if you are planning to walk home after dark!
